EMERGENCY SUPPORT

At the Social Gastronomy Movement (SGM), we stand united with our members during times of crisis in their communities and countries. Our members, often among the first responders in local emergencies, embody the resilience and compassion that characterize the social gastronomy movement. To support our courageous members facing crises, we have initiated an emergency fund, and we invite you to contribute. 100% of the funds collected will be directed to our members at the forefront of disasters, providing immediate assistance where it is needed most.

Chilean Wildfires: A Call for Urgent Support
Devastating wildfires are wreaking havoc across Chile, claiming the lives of over 100 people, with authorities warning that the death toll is likely to rise. The Chilean National Disaster Prevention and Response Service reports 161 active fires, of which firefighters have controlled 102 but are still battling 40 others. Coastal cities like Viña del Mar and Valparaiso are shrouded in smoke, leading President Gabriel Boric to declare an emergency. Residents in central regions have been forced to evacuate, and the situation remains critical. As our members from Fundacion de Gastronomia Social step in to provide aid, your donation to our emergency fund will directly support their efforts. Let's join forces to help those affected by the wildfires in Chile.

The Fundacion de Gastronomia Social in Chile is responding urgently to the devastating impact of recent wildfires. As reported to date, over 3,000 houses have been destroyed, resulting in 120 confirmed deaths, 300 individuals still missing, and 15,000 people directly affected.
In light of this crisis, the foundation has set a crucial support objective: to feed a minimum of 1,200 people daily and a maximum of 3,000 people daily. The emergency response campaign is anticipated to last for a minimum of 15 consecutive days, with a maximum duration of 30 consecutive days. To achieve this ambitious goal, the foundation seeks to raise a minimum of $20,000 and up to a maximum of $45,000. These funds will be critical in providing immediate assistance, including food provisions, to the affected communities. Your support is crucial in helping the Fundacion de Gastronomia Social address the pressing needs arising from this tragic situation.
