The SGM Global Summit (RE-Union) is a bi-annual gathering of the founders and entrepreneurs behind member organisations of the Social Gastronomy Movement. More than just a meeting, it is a space to reconnect, reflect, and reignite the spirit that drives our shared mission.
For long-standing members, the RE-Union offers a chance to rekindle relationships and deepen collaboration. For new members, it is a meaningful opportunity to meet in person for the first time to learn with and from others who share common values and visions for change.
We hold this time lightly, yet intentionally, to celebrate the human connections that sustain our work, to listen to one another’s journeys, and to reaffirm our collective commitment to creating a more just, regenerative food system.
UPCOMING SUMMIT: SGM NEPAL SUMMIT 2026
November 21 - 27, 2026
This summit is more than an experience; it is an opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. Throughout the week, participants will journey both inward and outward—nurturing inner capacities, engaging with communities driving meaningful change, and strengthening our collective fabric.
The experience will include:
➡️ Connecting with a global community of practitioners through shared sessions and reflections
➡️ Learning journeys into local food networks and school meal programs
➡️ An immersive farm stay to experience community resilience and agricultural practices firsthand
➡️ Engagement with local education initiatives linking food, sustainability, and learning
➡️ Collective moments of reflection and dialogue to deepen personal and professional insights
➡️ A Glocal Food celebration, bringing together shared learning, culture, and collaboration
Each day is intentionally designed to balance reflection and engagement, allowing participants to learn from communities while also reconnecting with their own work and purpose.
