Who We Are

The Social Gastronomy Movement (SGM) is a global network of food actors and organizations co-creating just and inclusive food systems through learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

Over the past seven years, we’ve grown into a vibrant global community committed to transforming food systems with courage, creativity, and shared values.

A New Chapter

We are at an exciting turning point — one that calls on us to organize in new ways, deepen collaboration, and ensure every voice has a place in shaping our shared future.

SGM is becoming member-led and member-owned, built on radical cooperation. This is more than a membership — it’s an invitation to co-create a decentralized ecosystem that amplifies collective impact, nurtures trust across borders, and drives the inclusive change we all envision.

Why Join

By joining as a founding member, you step into a model of shared ownership — much like a cooperative — where your contribution sustains and grows the movement. In return, you gain:

A Voice and a Vote in the decisions that shape SGM’s direction
A Global Network of peers driving social, cultural, and ecological transformation
Exclusive Opportunities for learning journeys, mentorship, and collaboration
Community Support that uplifts and amplifies your work
Visibility for your work and organization through SGM’s platforms and global storytelling

This is not just about belonging — it’s about owning the future of our movement together.

Our strength has always come from the people who believe in this vision. Your membership sustains the team that keeps our ecosystem connected, coordinated, and thriving.

This is our chance to step forward with intention and purpose — to build a movement based on trust, shared power, and collective intelligence.

The next chapter is ours to write together.
