Maíz, Climate Change and Food Security

Maíz is one of Mesoamerica's biggest gifts to the world. Nine thousand years ago, this ancient grain became the heart of Mexico's agriculture and nutrition as the indigenous people developed techniques to plant, grow, and harvest it alongside other foods in a sustainable way, respecting and nurturing the soil.
